With over two decades of experience in mental health, social services, and nonprofit leadership, Anitra Walker, LCSW is dedicated to guiding individuals and organizations toward healing, growth, and impact. As the founder of Mindful Ascend, she brings a compassionate, results-driven approach to therapy and consulting—helping individuals navigate personal challenges while equipping nonprofits and social service organizations with the tools they need to thrive.
Anitra’s journey began with a passion for psychology and a deep commitment to serving marginalized communities. Holding a Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill, she has spent her career advocating for emotional wellness, equity, and sustainable social change.
